Translation consists in the communication of a source-language text into another language, which we call the target language. We translate from and into several different languages, being English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, and German the most sought ones.
Regular translation is the one that does not need to be done by a sworn translator. It is done for non-official purposes.
Technical translation involves consulting bibliographic materials and specialized dictionaries. These are translations of specific texts, such as journal articles, user manuals, technical texts, academic dissertations, and others.
Sworn translation is done by a sworn translator, i.e., appointed, registered, and enrolled with the Board of Trade of his/her State of residence after passing in a public exam. In order for official documents, such as academic transcripts and diplomas, among others, to be valid in another country, the translation should be done by a sworn translator.
